1. Putting Your Target Keyword into the Right Area
10 years ago, SEO was very simple, we got ranking in Google by stuffing our keywords everywhere on the Blog post.
But, Nowadays it is known as keyword stuffing and face Google Penalty.
In my opinion, you can use 200 words/keywords in your content. So in 1k words content, you can use your keyword 5 times in your content.
Keyword in Title Tag: Initially, you should use your target keyword in the Title area of your post. It is visible in the Google search results that show what your content is about.
Make sure to use Up To 60 characters in your title tag.
Keyword in URL Slug: The URL Slug is the other content element that is shown in Google Search Engine Result Pages. Add your target keyword inside the URL slug.
On WordPress, you can easily edit the URL slug of your Blog post.
Keyword in Subheading: You can also use your target keyword in the subheading section of your blog. Use H2, H3, and H4 heading tags to include your target keyword in it.
Make sure to use the H1 tag only once in a post that will be in your title of the post.
Keyword in Meta Description: The next area is the Meta description area where you can add your target keyword. The meta description shows in the Google SERPs.
The meta description will increase your click-through rate on Google SERPs. Make sure to write what your page is about.
The length of the Meta description should be less than 160 characters. After exceeding the character limit it will not visible in the Google SERPs.
Use Yoast plugin to edit your description snippet.
2. Optimize Your Images for Target Keyword
Yes, you can optimize your images for the target keyword.
Don’t use a random name for your images, instead use a generic name for your images that will relate its identity. Try to name your images on the base of your target keyword.

3. Integrate Outbound Links in Your Content
Outbound links are the links that are pointing to other websites or blogs. Outbound links to authority websites considered as relevancy signals that help search engines to identify the content topic.
Things to Remember Before Creating Outbound Links
Don’t spam external links: External links are for SEO and your readers so that you can add more value to your content.
More the external links, the more chances your readers will leave your site.
In my opinion, you can use 5 outbound links for 1k words content. If you will overdose the external links, Google will consider it spam content that is intentionally selling backlinks.
Make sure to have a gap in your content between the 2 external links. They shouldn’t be close enough.
Only Link to Authority Websites: Make sure to link only authority websites that are related to your blog post and have good domain authority.
Send your readers to a website that will add value to your content.
Use of No-follow Links: There are two types of SEO external links No-follow and Do-follow links.
Do-follow link passes the link juice to other websites and helps to boost their organic ranking whereas the No-follow link doesn’t pass any link juice.
So it’s good to use No-follow links to poor quality websites and having many outbound links.
Set External links to open in New Window: To retain your reader interest in your blog post, make sure all the external links open in a new tab.
In this way, you will not lose your reader and it is very easy to set this in WordPress.
Use External links Naturally: Don’t spam your blog post by adding several external links. Make sure to use external links naturally which will add value to your content.
